This page contains the locations of the Collection Chests that appear in The Highlands open world areas, and how to find and unlock them, including which spells or resources you will need. Collection Chests can either give random wand handle cosmetics or conjuration recipes for the Room of Requirement, and 117 of them can be found in The Highlands alone.
Shortly after starting your academia in Hogwarts and joining one of the four houses, you'll be able to start finding chests stashed in various locations - but only some of them have an icon appearing on the map that signifies them as a Collection Chest. Unlike the castle and village, chests found in The Highlands come in three types - small chests with triangular lids that contain a random Conjuration Recipe to use in the Room of Requirement, long cylindrical chests that hold a random Wand Handle Cosmetic, and tiny chests on long legs that hold random Traits you can apply to gear with the Loom.
