Beginning her career from the age of 15-16, she first went to audition for commercials and got selected. She was in her 11th Standard when she worked in an advertisement for a local brand.

In December 2021 Hamsa made her all fans sad by sharing the bad news of her suffering from breast cancer. Yes, she shared this on her Instagram by posting her bald head picture captioning her battle story with Cancer.
She said that 4 months earlier she felt a lump in her breast and realized that it is Cancer. She also shared in this caption that she lost her mother 18 years ago due to Cancer and has always lived her life under the dark shadow of Cancer.
Moving further she shared that after getting a couple of clinical check-ups she got diagnosed with a Grade III Invasive Carcinoma (Breast Cancer).

She underwent surgery in which all the Cancer Cells were removed. Hamsa then shared that now she has undergone a total of 9 Cycles of Chemotherapy and 7 more Chemotherapy sessions are pending after which all risks of suffering from Cancer will become Zero.
